Deliveries during the current UK Lockdown
You can still order prints online during the current lockdown but please be aware that production and delivery may take longer than usual. We will endeavour though to get your prints dispatched to you within two weeks from receipt of order.
Greetings cards and postcards
Many of my designs are available as postcards and greetings cards.
The widest range can be found at Kim's Bookshops in Chichester and Arundel.
Chichester designs are also stocked by The Novium Museum, and a range of Bosham cards are available from Bosham Walk.
How to order
Retroprints are available to purchase online through this website and are processed securely via Paypal. If you don't have a Paypal account, not a problem, simply click the 'Pay by Debit or Credit Card' button when you come to checkout. Prints measuring 30 x 40cm and 40 x 40cm are mounted on card and delivered flat in a card envelope. The larger prints are rolled up and sent in a tube. All prices include postage and packing and are normally dispatched via Royal Mail recorded delivery. All packages will need to be signed for. We aim to deliver prints within 7 working days but please allow up to two weeks from receipt of order. Should you be unhappy with your purchase in any way, please return it to us within 2 weeks for a full refund.
What are limited edition giclée prints?
Giclée (from the french ‘gicler’: to squirt) is the process of making fine art prints from a digital source using large format ink-jet printing presses. These high-quality prints are created with fade-resistant pigment-based inks and printed onto 200gsm matt art paper. Each design is printed in a limited quantity and signed and numbered by the artist. As the prints are created digitally we are able to offer most designs in a choice of sizes, however, each print will still be uniquely numbered.
Where else can I purchase Retroprints?
If you prefer not to purchase online, fear not, a large selection of prints are also available to buy from Galleries in Chichester and Southsea.
In Chichester you can visit The Oxmarket Gallery (off East Street) where you'll find a large selection of my designs in the Print Room. Art For All in Eastgate Square and The Novium Museum in Tower Street also stock many designs.
My designs of Portsmouth and the Solent can be purchased from White Dog Gallery in Southsea and Lee-on-the-Solent.
About the designer
I originally studied art at Worthing Art College and typography at Brighton University and have worked as a graphic designer in publishing for the past 25 years.
I've had a long-standing fascination for vintage travel posters, and I embarked on my first series of Retroprints in summer 2010 for an exhibition at the Oxmarket Gallery in Chichester called 'South of the Downs', which featured a few views of Chichester and Portsmouth. Over the past 10 years the range has expanded to cover local subjects in West Sussex and Hampshire, but I've also created views of Newcastle, Bath and London, and have also ventured as far afield as Germany, the US and Spain. The White Horse in West Pallant, Chichester (illustrated left) was my first print of Chichester.
